Basia is a chartered architect in the UK and in Poland. Since joining us in 2019 she has been a pivotal member of the practice responsible for a variety of architectural and outreach projects. She is currently leading the construction package on our Bracken Hide Hotel project on the Isle of Skye. Her strong problem solving and communication skills make her a valuable asset at every stage of our projects from concept design, through detailing, product specification and managing construction.
Basia completed her Master’s Degree at the Edinburgh School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture (ESALA). Before joining West Port, Basia was at Grimshaw Architects. There she was involved on a number of infrastructure projects, including Euston RECS, where she was responsible for producing and coordinating key design and technical criteria for the scheme. Prior to Grimshaw's, she gained all-round residential experience at Nash Baker Architects where she was project architect on a number of their high-end residential and historic projects across London.
A well travelled individual, Basia has lived and worked in several countries including the USA, India and her home country of Poland. She is deeply passionate about the environment, place-making and empowering the younger generation in architectural and sustainable design.
