Kathleen is an architectural assistant currently working on some of West Port’s most exciting commercial and residential projects. A recent addition to the studio, she joined us from well renowned architecture practice, Bennetts Associates, in May 2021. She brings her honed experience in cultural, art and commercial design with her. Prior to starting with us she was involved in Bennett’s design and delivery of the Action Transport Theatre (Whitby Hall). The project is seeing the transformation of a locally listed hall into a purpose built arts centre focused around work for children and young people.
Kathleen grew up in Hong Kong and has a well nurtured passion for travel. She has a keen interest in the relationship between culture, space and architecture coupled with a fascination with the creative use of natural materials. Kathleen’s interests and background in art and cultural projects, work with Blueprint For All (formerly, Steven Lawrence Trust) and LISG (Lesbian Immigration Support Group), is part of West Port’s drive to strengthen our outreach initiatives as well as take on projects that express and celebrate diversity and the complex cultural relationships found in great spaces, cities and places.
