West Port designed a loft conversion and ground floor extension for a two bedroom 19th century artisan cottage within the Fishponds Park conservation area in South London. Our clients were looking to expand their home into one more suited for their growing family and changing needs. The scope of works included a new kitchen, a ground floor WC and a new bedroom with ensuite shower room in the loft.

With the property being situated within a conservation area, this application proved challenging at the planning stage. Despite this, we are pleased to share that our well considered design and continued communication with the Local Authority resulted in full-planning permission for the rear extension and loft conversion with a dormer window.
