Home Refurbishment

2017 - 2019

West Port were appointed to design and deliver the renovation and refurbishment of a five storey 19th century Victorian townhouse into a four bedroom family home. Set within the Pimlico Conservation Area, the brief was to convert the existing house into a family home fit for the 21st century. The project involved the creation of 4 bedrooms (3 of which were en-suite), a ground floor reception room with adjoining dining room and kitchen, a home office on the first floor and a guest bedroom, bathroom and family living room on the lower ground opening out to the rear garden space.

An intricate project from start to finish, West Port designed and delivered all interior rooms and joinery of the property. Through a continuous design and development process, packages and services completed included the detailing of all rooms, sanitary-ware, bespoke joinery and staircase design. The project was particularly challenging given the many constraints relating to the existing site conditions of the period property as we worked to balance the restoration of historic features with the need to deliver a contemporary family home.
