This proposal was conducted in response to Archistorming's call for entrants into their competition for the design and delivery of a SEN pre-school in the Xai-Xai district of Mozambique. Our idea used water as its guiding theme.

In Mozambique one of the principal reasons for children not continuing their education is poverty caused by scarce access to water and energy. By interpreting the school environment as 'The Source' for the growth and sustenance of thriving communities, we chose to integrate water - the most needed compound - throughout the proposal's architecture. Water is used for it's acoustic, visual and well-being qualities to aid children's education and provide a calming backdrop for learning.
