Why do we need Pride?

Pride works. It’s a protest and it works hard every year to equalise people who love differently. It's bringing about much needed change, but it's slow in parts and we’re leaving behind our friends who identify as another.

Our entry for the Pride Pop Up Competition for Architecture LGBT+ was titled 'As. An. Other.' As more than one or nothing at all.

On the other side (the root of the word trans) is an opportunity for people to step back and listen to their burden. The design proposed two megaphones adorned with pronouns inviting people who identify differently to speak, to be listened to and to be celebrated.
